Silversong's body froze. Did she really hear what she thought she did? She blinked and tried to get her mind to focus. But she knew what Flameclaw had said. Flameclaw, a ShadowClan cat.
"I-I love you too," Silversong meowed quietly, shocked.

He waited to see what she would say, and when she said this he smiled and purred softly. "I've loved you for a while, you're a really special cat, Silversong, there's no other cat like you in ShadowClan or any of the other clans." He meowed to her.

"There's no other cat like you either, Flameclaw. But isn't this wrong? We're from different clans." Silversong meowed, worry in her eyes as she looked at the tom she loved.

He knew that what she was saying made sense, she was very right in her words, and he thought for a moment. "Yes, you're right, Silversong, but I still want to be with you. We can make it work." He meowed confidentely, giving her a smile and nuzzle.

Silversong ran along the stream, excitement running through her pelt. Newleaf had officially begun, and she had been spending as much time as she could with Flameclaw. She was actually on her way to visit him now.

He was already there at their meeting place, and was pacing around the stream there, waiting to see the ThunderClan she-cat. He was so glad that they were able to spend a lot of time together, it really was nice.

Silversong caught sight of Flameclaw and slowed down her pace a bit. Suddenly, a scent came from behind her and she stopped dead in her tracks. Did someone follow her?

He scented Silversong and smiled, but then he also scented another cat, and he wasn't quite sure who it was, but he stayed by the stream.

Silversong stopped, seeing a flash of grey move through the trees. "Who's there?" She meowed, hostility in her voice.
"It's just me, Silversong," A gray handsome tom said, coming out from behind a few bushes.
"Oh... hello Ashtree. What are you, uh, doing out here?" She questioned him.

He wasn't sure if the other tom had noticed him yet, but now he had quite a few questions, who was this tom and what was he doing here? He had wanted to see Silversong, not this Ashtree. "I just wanted to come see what you were doing." Ashtree meowed.

"W-well, I'm just going for a run. There, that's what I'm doing, you can go now," The she-cat meowed nervously.
Ashtree looked at her oddly. "You've been going on a lot of runs recently..." He trailed off.
"I-I suppose that's because I've g-grown to like them," Silversong replied.

Ashtree still wasn't convinced. "Why don't you tell me what it is? Maybe I can help, that would make me very happy. Is there some problem with ShadowClan?" He asked her, because she was near the ShadowClan border.

"Oh, no, not at all," Silversong tried to lie smoothly, not sure if she had gotten away with it. Ashtree still looked skeptical. "Would you like to join me? I was actually just about to head away from the border," She continued.
Ashtree's eyes narrowed. "Are you alright, Silversong? You look nervous..." He trailed off.
"Oh, no I'm fine, I promise," Silversong replied.

His eyes brightened and he gave a nod, he was now rather liking the idea of taking a walk with the pretty she-cat. "In that case, if everything is fine, I would like to join you, it would be fun." He smiled. Meanwhile, Flameclaw looked on from a tree, not believing what he was seeing, and he decided to tag along, but not let them see him with them.

The she-cat nodded and fell into step beside the tom, purposely walking away from the ShadowClan border. Making sure her face wasn't in sight of Ashtree's vision, she looked around desperately, trying to signal to the tom that he should leave.
"So Ashtree, do you think any of kits will be your possible apprentice?" She asked, trying to start a casual conversation.
