Death of a Great-announcement

Shockstar dragged herself out of her den, climbing the Highrock. "All cats old enough to hunt their own pray, gather for an announcement!" The she-cat yowled across the camp, eyes sparkling with grief. Something awful had happened, something that struck Shockstar with force that shattered her heart.

Assassinclaw, thankful to be back in his own home, padded up to the underneath part of the great rock. Shockstar seemed troubled; why is that?

A grumble could be heard at the back of the crowd as Soulzero padded out of the warriors den. She obviously wasn't happy as she hate being around cats younger than her. It had better be important. The huge calico she-cat looked up at her leader, but this time didn't care at the cat she was looking at. Instead she sat next to Assassinclaw, not really knowing him, but it was better than sitting next to the apprentices that were extremely noisy.

Her dark green eyes remained trained at the cats on top of the rock as she waited for the announcement. Her right torn ear swiveling on her head as she listened to other around her.

Shockstar scanned the camp for a second before opening her maw, taking a deep breath. "First, our medicine cat has been murdered! Her body was found by the thunder path and it reeked of Bloodclan. Bloodclan will pay if they are responsible." She spat as she spoke the word of the other clan. How she hated them, the mangy things. And she would wage war against them if they had touched her medicine cat.

"Secondly, we are in need of a deputy. Soulzero, you are my choice; if you accept?" She glanced down at the calico, eyes slightly questioning. The she-cat reminded Shockstar of herself, and she knew having this cat as her deputy would be the right choice; even if Soulzero was not the kindest.

{:O I didn't expect that!]

A snarl escaped the large calico's jaws at the mention of one of their cats being murdered, and by Bloodclan. Now that took the cake. Her tail lashed behind her as she wanted to rip massacre limb from limb. She would tear any bloodclanner apart if she had the chance. "They will pay if they killed one of my clanmates!" Soulzero growled the words as she didn't think it would be proper for her to snarl them.

Then interesting news came along, Shockstar wanted her to be deputy? Now that was something, and of course she gladly accepted it. "Thank you Shockstar, I accept your offer." The new deputy dipped her head to her leader.

Moonleaf looked on in slight sadness as her clan seemed to almost hate BloodClan for it. She needed to speak with Shockstar as soon as possible, and as a warning, she sat next to the ShadowClan leader and let out an anger scent, not because she didn't accept Soulzero as deputy; she was a perfect choice. But if they showed any violence or hatred to her father, she would leave and let Nightpaw be guideless.

A slender black tail curled to the forepaws of a young black tabby. Nightpaw sat silently observing the meeting that was taking place. Her yellow-green eyes glanced around at the crowd of cats, as she took note of everything. She couldn't process how to feel to learn about her mentor being murdered. Her eyes reflected a hint of sadness and anger that she kept to herself;other cats showed their anger.

The next bit of news turned to good. She listened to the rest of the cats speak with cheer for the new chosen deputy. "Congratulations,Soulzero", Nighpaw softly spoke.

To be honest, the new deputy was surprised to hear congratulations for her. She thought that most of the cats in the clan hated her due to her attitude toward younger cats. Soulzero said nothing to the cats that were congratulating her, instead she dipped her head in thanks, even to the younger cats.

The large calico then looked up at Shockstar and leaped toward the spot where the deputy stood. The she-cat stood tall and proud as she looked at her clanmates.

Redfur frowned thinking of Phantomtail and the medicane cat, but congratulated Soulzero happily .

Snakewhisker muttered an congratulations in response. -Soulzero? I was expecting someone else.- Snakewhisker thought as he frowned.

Ooc: Wait, does that mean the med. cat apprentice slot is open now? If yes, could Twistedpaw be the med. cat apprentice?
